Process

How we work

Step 01Masking
Fits, threads and sealing surfaces are taped or plugged to drawing. This step accounts for a large part of the price – the clearer your specification, the more accurate the calculation.
Step 02Priming
The primer is matched to the material: steel, aluminium, galvanized steel and plastics each need a different system. This is where corrosion protection is created, not in the topcoat.
Step 03Application
The topcoat is applied in several passes with flash-off times in between. The booth's oil curtain binds the overspray so that it does not fall back onto the part as dust.
Step 04Drying
Depending on the system, the paint dries in air or in the oven at moderate temperature. Two-component systems cross-link chemically and only reach their final hardness once the reaction is complete.

What customers want to know

Powder or wet paint – which suits my part?

Powder coating is more economical for recurring metal parts, mechanically more robust and solvent-free – but it needs curing temperature. Wet paint is the choice for heat-sensitive materials, plastics, very thin coats, special effects and repairs.

Can paint-free surfaces, threads and fits be left uncoated?

Yes. Masking to drawing is part of our standard scope. State in your enquiry which surfaces are functionally relevant – this belongs in the calculation, not in a renegotiation.

Do you paint plastics too?

Yes. The primer is matched to the material – plastic needs a different system from steel or aluminium. We also paint mixed assemblies of plastic and metal in one pass.

How large can a part be?

Our large spray booth measures 3 × 5 m and is used for spraying and drying. For critical dimensions we check your drawing in advance to see whether hanging and handling are feasible.
