Powder coating in Berlin
Two manual spray booths on an automatic chain conveyor, straight into the continuous curing oven. The economical route for recurring series – and just as much for the single frame from your workshop. In the heart of Kreuzberg, quote within 24 hours.
At a glance
Powder finds the edge by itself
In powder coating it is not the pressure of the gun that does the work, but an electric field. That is why powder wraps around edges too – exactly where wet paint gets thinnest and corrosion sets in first.
Process
How we work
- Step 01Hanging
The part is hung on the rack so that it is securely earthed and drains cleanly. Where the contact sits, a spot stays uncoated – we agree the hanging points with you beforehand.
- Step 02Charging
In the gun the powder is charged electrostatically. The earthed part attracts the particles; they follow the field lines and settle on averted surfaces and edges as well.
- Step 03Curing
In the continuous curing oven the powder melts, flows into a closed film and cross-links chemically. What matters is the temperature in the part, not in the oven – thick parts take longer than thin ones.
- Step 04Inspection
After cooling we check coating thickness and appearance. Only then does the series continue along the conveyor.
Why choose it
- Solvent-free
- Mechanically far more durable than wet paint
- One application instead of several coats
- Clean edge coverage
- Consistent coating thickness across the whole series
- Virgin powder on request, no reclaimed powder
Limits of the process
- The part must be electrically conductive and withstand the curing temperature
- Plastics, electronics and heat-sensitive assemblies are ruled out – that is what wet painting is for
- Deep inside corners shield the electric field and end up thinner; there we recommend wet paint
- Custom colours only pay off above a minimum quantity
Applications
From one-off to series
- Recurring seriesBatch sizes others turn down: 1,000 parts a day are feasible in continuous operation. Predictable lead time, predictable unit price.
- Small batches and one-offsFrom a single part. For very small quantities the set-up costs determine the unit price – a photo with approximate dimensions is often enough for a quote.
- Masking to drawingThreads, fits and paint-free surfaces are left uncoated. This belongs in the calculation, not in a renegotiation.
- Private customersBicycle frames, furniture frames, railings, stove parts, wheel rims – in the same facilities and the same quality as for our industrial customers.

FAQ
What customers want to know
What is your minimum quantity?
One part – for private customers too. For single parts and very small quantities the set-up costs determine the unit price; from around 300 parts, powder coating runs on the chain conveyor and the unit price drops considerably.
Powder or wet paint – which suits my part?
Powder coating is more economical for recurring metal parts, mechanically more robust and solvent-free – but it needs curing temperature. Wet paint is the choice for heat-sensitive materials, plastics, very thin coats, special effects and repairs. We have both in-house and recommend what suits the part.
Which colours are possible?
All RAL and NCS colours, plus texture and effect powders. We source custom colours that are not in our stock; they only pay off above a minimum quantity.
How should I deliver the parts?
Clean, free of silicone and adhesive residue, with a delivery note or a short note on quantity, material and colour. Cavities need vent and drain holes. The parts must withstand temperatures up to 230 °C. Business customers will find the details in our terms and conditions. No time to bring them? Use our pickup and delivery service.
