Vapour degreasing and pre-treatment
Every coating is only as good as what lies underneath. We degrease fully automatically in a closed solvent loop – not with water. Plus film removal, masking to drawing, priming and filling.
At a glance
The solvent goes where no brush can reach
A wash basin cleans surfaces. Vapour degreases geometries. The difference shows in every blind hole.
Process
How we work
- Step 01Evaporation
In the sump of the plant the solvent is heated to boiling. It rises as vapour and fills the working zone.
- Step 02Condensation
The cold part is lowered into the vapour. The vapour condenses as liquid on the part – on every surface it reaches, and it reaches every one.
- Step 03Dissolving
The condensate dissolves oil, grease and drawing compounds and runs off downwards with them. No pressure, no mechanics, no shadowed edges.
- Step 04Recovery
In the sump the solvent is distilled and flows back into the loop clean. The part warms up to vapour temperature and is dry when it comes out.
Why choose it
- Reaches blind holes, threads, cavities and undercuts
- Parts come out dry, no drying time, no water marks
- Also for drawing grease, cutting oil and anti-corrosion grease
- Closed plant with cooling zone and freeboard area
- Solvent is distilled and reused in the loop
Material restrictions
- Some plastics and elastomers cannot tolerate solvent
- Degreasing does not remove resinified residues, mill scale or old coatings – that needs blasting or pickling beforehand
- We clarify both before the first batch
Applications
Pre-treatment from a single source
- DegreasingBefore every powder and wet paint coating, including heavily greased parts from forming and machining.
- Film removalProtective films are peeled off sheets and profiles before coating.
- Masking to drawingThreads, fits, sealing and functional surfaces stay free.
- Priming and fillingPrimer matched to the material, filling and surface correction for visible surfaces.

FAQ
What customers want to know
Why vapour degreasing and not aqueous?
The vapour reaches every surface, including in blind holes, threads and cavities, and the parts come out dry. With aqueous washing, residues or water often remain there – and that is exactly where the coating later adheres poorly.
What contamination does the plant remove?
Oil, grease, drawing compounds, cutting oil and anti-corrosion grease. It does not remove mill scale, resinified residues or old coatings; that needs blasting or pickling beforehand.
How should the parts be delivered?
Free of silicone, release agents, adhesive residue and marking paint. Business customers will find the details in our terms and conditions.
