Galvanizing and powder coating (duplex)
For steel parts that need to last a long time outdoors: our partner does the hot-dip galvanizing, we apply the powder coating on top. Zinc protects against corrosion, the powder protects the zinc and provides the colour.

Two layers, two jobs
The zinc layer protects the steel from corrosion. The powder coating on top protects the zinc from the weather and gives the part its colour. Together, both last considerably longer than either layer on its own.
Process
How we work
- Step 01Planning
We clarify application, corrosion requirements and colour and coordinate the galvanizing with our partner.
- Step 02Galvanizing
The parts are hot-dip galvanized at our partner galvanizing plant.
- Step 03Pre-treatment
The galvanized surface is prepared for powder coating.
- Step 04Powder coating
Coating in the continuous curing oven, followed by collection or delivery.

What customers want to know
What is a duplex system?
The combination of hot-dip galvanizing and a coating on top, for example powder. The two layers protect each other and together last longer than either on its own.
Can you also coat parts that are already galvanized?
Yes. Please tell us in your enquiry that the parts are galvanized. Galvanized surfaces need adapted pre-treatment.
Do you do the galvanizing yourselves?
No, the galvanizing is done by our partner galvanizing plant. We coordinate and coat.
