USM Haller comes from the factory in a fixed range of colours. If you want a different shade, or your panels are scratched after years of use, you don't have to replace the furniture. The panels are made of steel. They can be powder coated or painted again. That is exactly what we do in our workshop in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

The colour covers evenly, the surface is smooth, the edges are cleanly enclosed and the rows of holes stay open. That is exactly how a recoated Haller panel should look. Once reassembled, it sits with the chrome tubes and balls as if the furniture had left the factory that way.

RAL, NCS or matched to your sample.
Orange is just one example. We coat your panels in any RAL or NCS colour, including textured and pearl effect finishes. If your colour isn't in any fan deck, bring a sample and we will match it. To go with your wall, your company logo or your rug. You choose the gloss level: from matt to satin to gloss.
Powder or paint.
Decided by the part, not by the equipment.
For Haller panels, powder coating is usually the right choice. Steel withstands the curing temperature, and the finish stands up well to everyday use. We primed the panel shown here first and then powder coated it in the final colour – this gives a cleaner colour reproduction. We coat all sides to visible-surface quality. Wet painting is the alternative when a part must not go into the oven. We have both processes in-house and recommend what suits your part.
How it works.
From photo to finished panel.
- Enquiry: Send us a photo, the number and size of the panels (for example 750 × 350 mm) and the colour you want. On working days you will receive a quote within 24 hours.
- Dismantling: We coat the individual panels: shelves, side and back panels, flaps and doors. The chrome-plated tubes and balls stay as they are. Please remove locks, handles and dampers beforehand, or tell us what is fitted.
- Delivery: Drop the panels off at our workshop by Hallesches Tor, or use our pickup and delivery service in Berlin and Brandenburg (charged separately).
- Coating: We degrease, coat and inspect every panel. Then you collect it, or we bring it back.
To be honest.
What a new coating can't do.
- Dents stay dents. A new coat won't straighten bent panels. Deep scratches may show through.
- Existing coating: blisters can form on an old coat during curing. We check on the part whether the old coating has to come off first.
- One order for everything: panels from different orders can differ slightly in shade. So please send all panels of one piece of furniture together.
- Several panels make more sense: set-up and colour change are charged once per order. For a single panel that is a large part of the price; for a whole sideboard it isn't.
